Days like these

Shimmering heat, rosy midsummer evenings, bathing by the lake, lingering in stillness – this is summer in the village. During one summer in Bavaria, I accompanied my mother and photographed her everyday life.

Days unfolded slowly. Movements became smaller, time stretched. There were walks through familiar streets, quiet mornings, short errands, moments of waiting. A life shaped by routine and interruption, by presence and absence.

The exhibition was the final project of the photo class at the Photocentrum of the Gilberto-Bosques-Volkshochschule Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, led by photojournalist Ann-Christine Jansson. It brought together individual photographic series developed over the course of the program and presented them within a shared exhibition context. Accompanied by a catalogue publication, the group exhibition reflected both the diversity of artistic positions and the collective learning process shaped within the class.
